My philosophy of the golf swing is based on fundamentals I believe are important and will help you improve your golf swing. I won't attempt to change your golf swing unless it is really necessary. And even then, the changes will be subtle enough so you feel as though you are comfortable with our swing.
I make every effort to work with "your swing" and what your body is capable of doing. Some of us have physical limitations or aren't as flexible as others so I will strive to make your swing work within your own framework. I prefer to keep things simple and I like to make sure the student understands what we are trying to accomplish in the lesson. I think developing trust and confidence with the student is critical and to do this requires open communication between the student and the instructor.

Here are some additional frequently asked questions that you as the student might consider.
What should you expect from a golf lesson?
discuss with the instructor what you would like to accomplish and set a goal and plan to reach that goal.
teach you how to play the golf course in addition to swing technique
work with what you are capable of doing.
be realistic, golf takes time to learn.
Should you see immediate improvement after a lesson?
In some cases, you will see improvement right away. If there is a pattern/habit that has been previously developed, it will take practice to reverse the process, so this may take time. How you practice will play a major part in your ability to correct the problem. Be very clear with your instructor what to work on.
Do you communicate with your instructor?
You should feel at ease with your instructor and I recommend just having a conversation before you start striking golf balls. You won't be as nervous if you have the opportunity to talk about your game and give the instructor some background about your game.
